Back in 2016, we realised the city needed more intimate spaces - places where performances felt personal and immersive, not just something to watch from a distance. As theatre lovers, we craved a deeper connection with live art and the people creating it.
That’s what sparked Oddbird. We wanted to make the performing arts feel approachable and fun, breaking down the usual barriers between artists and audiences. It’s a space where everyone can be part of something real and meaningful, together.
Previously, performances at our venue were made possible through support from the foundation. Today, the theatre curates and presents its own programming.
The OddBird Foundation is a non-profit that collaborates with artists and facilitates development of new work.
Volunteer with us
